I was born in Orjol in 1949, attended the State Institute for Education there from 1967-72. From 1979-83 followed studies at the Charhov Institute for Art and Industry, where at the faculty for monumental painting professors Chmelnizky and Kosarev amongst others were my tutors. Having finished my studies I returned to Orjol, where I was worked since as an artist. In 1991 I became a member of the Russian Society of Artists. My favourite poets have described the world with words, I try to express it using the language of colours. My pictures follow the tradition of Russian critical realism, as represented by the group of Ђhikersї (Peredwishniki). Of this group, Valentin Serow, Isaak Levitan and lwan Shishkin are closest to me. You can see my wall paintings and vitrages in churches, public buildings, and on the facades of Orjol and other towns. My paintings have been purchased by Orjol Museum and by private collectors from many countries (RUS, B, BG, CH, D, F, NL, S, GB, USA, IT). I have been represented at a large number of joint exhibitions, and individual exhibitions of his paintings were to be seen at Orjol in 1995, 1996, 1997 and 1999 and in Heusenstamm in 1996 and 1998, in Seligenstadt in 2000 and collective exhibitions. I hope that my painting will be interesting for the artist exhibitions and fans. |
